As the proverb goes, “teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn.” Letting students engage in their learning is way better than confining teaching in a classroom; therefore, the STEAM Committee conducted a Hologram DIY workshop for our S4 and S5 students to learn what Hologram is and its science operation behind.
The little optical trick, Hologram floats above the phone screen and with the assistance of a tiny plastic projection box, amazing 3-D images and patterns can be projected clearly. This is something you can do at home, in the library, in the office, ANYWHERE! What you need is just a plastic film and a pair of compasses.
Students enjoyed making their own projection box and this workshop helped them understand the Physics concepts behind the Holograms. On top of that, Students were also encouraged to adopt different scientific methods and think creatively to form different impressive images.
