Toxicological and Chemical Analysis Workshop [21 November 2025 (Friday)]

Our 20 Chemistry students from S4 to S6 recently participated in “Toxicological and Chemical Analysis Workshop” organized by Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups Innovation Science Centre.

Toxicological analysis is a common chemical analysis technique in forensic science. It is used to analyze and detect the presence and concentration of drugs and narcotics in evidence.

In this workshop, our chemistry students gained an understanding of the basics of toxicology, learnt qualitative and quantitative methods.

Besides, they conducted experiments by themselves to determine the presence and concentration of specific chemicals in objects.

This event can enhance the interest of our chemistry students in learning science subjects and offer a prospect of relevant tertiary education and future career. 

毒理化學分析工作坊 [2025年11月21日 (星期五)]

20位本校中四至六化學科學生最近於香港青年協會創新科學中心參加毒理化學分析工作坊。

毒理化學分析是法證科學的常見的化學分析技巧，分析並檢測證物中藥物及毒品存在及含量。

在此工作坊中，本校學生認識到毒理學的基本知識，學習定性及定量的方法。

同時，本校學生亦透過進行相關科學實驗，找出物品中某化學物質的存在及含量。

是次活動有助提升本校化學科學生對科學科目學習的興趣，亦能了解與化學科相關的大學課程內容和相關職業。
